Rev. Stephen Carl will officiate. Interment will be at the Estes Valley Memorial Gardens. [:CR;]      Mr. Kearney was born on June 11, 1934, in Lead, S.D., to William D. [sic] and Mary (Graham) Kearney. [:CR;]      He graduated from Ouray High School and married Marily Cochran in 1956 and had four children. The couple divorced in 1983. [:CR;]      He married Mary Stagmeyer in 1992 in Estes Park. [:CR;]      Mr. Kearney lived in Loveland from 1942 to 1957, when he moved to Estes Park. [:CR;]      He served in the U.S. Navy in the Underwater Demolition Unit from 1951 to 1955 during most of the Korean Conflict. He later worked for the Bureau of Reclamation at the Estes Park Power Plant from 1962 to 1979 as a utility worker. He then became a self-employed carpenter and a builder of log homes. [:CR;]      Mr. Kearney was a member of the Elks Lodge #2617 in Estes Park, as well as a member of the American Legion Post #119, in which he served as a commander in previous years. [:CR;]      He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1999; his grandson, Michael Kearney, in 1997; and also both his parents. [:CR;]      Mr. Kearney is survived by his son, Mike Kearney, os Estes Park; two other sons, Billy and Rick Kearney, both of Augusta, Kan; a daughter, Ellen Aikins, of Chanute, Kan; a brother, Michael Kearney, of Loveland; a sister, Mary Ellen Young, of Estes Park; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
