  • Oliver F. Crossett and Minnie Bell Bush appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, at 484 Nineteenth Street. Other members of the household included Ada Pearl Crossett. Also in the household were sons Roy (age 16) and Desmond (8), and daughter and son-in-law Violet (22) and Albert Parrott (25).

  • The following appeared on 2 June 1942 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Stricken suddenly ill in Detroit yesterday, Oliver F. Crossett, 72 years old, of 1160 Whitney avenue, died a short time after he was rushed to a hospital. He was visiting a brother-in-law, Charles H. Bush, at the time. Members of his family here had not learned the cause of his death today.
         A native of Canada, Mr. Crossett had resided here for 30 years. He was recently employed by the city. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Minnie D. Crossett, four daughters, Mrs. Colonel W. Ball, Mrs. Howard F. Rieger, Mrs. Fred Shrimpton and Mrs. Gilbert Hill, and a son, Roy Crossett, all of this city, another son, L. Desmond Crossett, of the Town of Lewiston, and a sister, Mrs. James Jamieson, of St. Thomas, Ont.
         Funeral services will be held at the Hardison and Beatty chapel at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
