- Levi F. Goetchius and Abigail Vose appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Also in the household were children George (age 13), Van Est (8) and Himar (6). Levi was rocorded in this census as Leo F Goetshius. Also in the household were A. P. Vose (22), apparently a sister of Abigail, and physician A. K. Axtell (32).
- Levi F. Goetchius and Abigail Vose appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Other members of the household included Maurice L. Goetchius. Also in the household were children Eliza A. (age 18, deaf & dumb), Edgar (7) and Ida (4).
- The Goetchius family has yet to be found in the 1870 or 1880 censuses.
