  • The following appeared on 12 June 1939 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: Mrs. Bridget A. Hoffman, wife of Henry Hoffman, 1937 Lockport street, died at her home yesterday afternoon, after an illness of three weeks. She was the mother of the late Milton Hoffman, assistant foreman of the Gazette's mechanical department, who was killed in an automobile crash several years ago.
         Mrs. Hoffman was born in Niagara Falls 72 years ago and had lived here ever since. She was the daughter of John and Mary McGrath. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Albert, in Brooklyn, and four sister, Miss Mary McGrath, Mrs. John J. Barrett, Mrs. Patrick J. McCarthy and Mrs. Edmund Skimin.
         The funeral will be held from the family home at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, with services at Sacred Heart church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Riverdale cemetery.
