Eleonora Lang

  • Eleonora Lang was born on 29 July 1820 in Kirchheimbolanden, Rheinpfalz.
  • She married Johann Philipp Laurier, son of Johann Dietrich Laurier and Maria Anna Theresia Neb, on 8 August 1850 in Speyer, Rheinpfalz.
  • Eleonora Lang arrived in the Port of New York on 10 February 1859, accompanied by Franz Joseph Laurier and Anna Maria Theresia Laurier from Le Havre aboard the New York-Havre Packet Ship Zurich, traveling in 2nd cabin.
  • Johann Philipp Laurier and Eleonora Lang appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in New York City, New York, at 265 East 10th Street. Other members of the household included Franz Joseph Laurier, Anna Maria Theresia Laurier, Frederick Laurier and George Laurier.
  • Eleonora Lang became a widow at the 7 March 1893 death of her husband Johann Philipp Laurier.
  • Eleonora Lang died on 9 February 1903 at age 82 in Bronx, New York, at 731 Courtland Avenue at her residence. [According to his death certificate, her son Fred died a few months earlier at 731 Melrose Avenue, attended by the same doctor; it is likely that one of the records is in error and they both died in the same place.]
  • She was interred at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York.
