  • The following appeared on 18 September 1941 in the Buffalo Courier-Express: The marriage of Miss Evelyn M. Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy P. Wilson of Potomac Avenue, and Edward R. Rung, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rung of Wyandotte Street, was solemnized at 8 o'clock Saturday evening, September 6th, in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Edgar M. Smead performed the ceremony.
         The bride wore a princess gown of white brocaded satin . . .
         Miss Hazel A. Wilson, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She was attired in a rose lace and sheer frock. . . . Miss Ruth Groh, a cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Norman J. Huber were bridesmaids. . . .
         Miss Bonnie Ruth Wilson, flower girl, wore a yellow net frock. Paul B. Rung attended his brother and ushers were Donald H. Wilson and Norman J. Huber. Mrs. Wilson attended in a teal blue dinner dress . . . .
         A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Rung will return Monday from a trip to the New England States and will reside at 233 Dearborn Street.

  • The following appeared on 21 March 1998 in The Post-Standard: Evelyn M. Rung MacLeod, 80, of East Brighton Avenue died Thursday at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre.
         Born in Buffalo, she lived in Syracuse nine years. She retired in 1982 after 18 years with Curtis Screw Co., Buffalo. She was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Buffalo.
         Her first husband, Edward R. Rung, died in 1971; her second husband, Norman MacLeod, died in 1985.
         Surviving are two sons, Keith B. Rung of Syracuse and David W. Rung of Tucson, Ariz; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
         Services are 11:30 a.m. Monday at Denneville Chapel-Amigone Funeral Home, Buffalo. Burial is in Elmlawn Cemetery, Tonawanda.
         Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
         Welter-Price Funeral Home, Syracuse, has local arrangements.
