  • The following appeared on 2 October 1902 in The Lockport Journal: The wedding of F. Allen Retallack of Niagara Falls, and Miss Frances Dayo took place Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Sague in Sanborn. The Rev. W. F. Faber officiated. The bride was gowned in brown broadcloth with a hat to match and carried bride roses. Miss Grace Oliver acted as bridesmaid, Philip Oliver as best man and little Orilia Partrick as ring bearer. About 25 immediate relatives were present.
         Mr. and Mrs. Retallack left on the four o'clock train for Cleveland. After Nov. 1 they will be home at Niagara Falls. There were present from Lockport: Mrs. Charles Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Edson Partrick and daughter Orilia, while Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Oliver, Philip Oliver, the Misses Grace and Hattie Oliver, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Oliver, and Mrs. Charles Retallack, were present from Niagara Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. William Christian, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. William Christian, Jr., from Buffalo.
  • The following appeared on 6 May 1903 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Mrs. William Christian of Buffalo was the guest yesterday of her sister, Mrs. Lyman R. Oliver of Niagara Avenue. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Philip Murphy of Lockport have come to the Falls to spend the summer with their daughter, Mrs. Lyman R. Oliver of Niagara Avenue.
  • The following appeared on 14 March 1905 in The Lockport Journal: At Niagara Falls, N. Y., March 13, 1905, Phillip Murphy, in the 81st year of his age, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. [L.] R. Oliver. The deceased was a lifelong resident of this city and the remains will be brought here for burial. Funeral will take place from the residence of his granddaughter, Mrs. C. F. Baker, 169 West avenue, this city, Wednesday, March 15, at 2 p. m. Interment at Cold Springs.
         Friends are invited to attend.

Interment, Cold Springs cemetery.

  • The following appeared on 28 January 1920 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: [Died] In this city, January 27th, 1920, at her home, 1340 Niagara avenue, Mrs. Lyman R. Oliver, in the 74th year of her age. Besides her husband, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. Retallock?, Kenmore, N. Y., three sons, Fred R., Lockport, N. Y., C. Eugene, La Salle, N. Y. and Philip C. this city, two daughters, Harriet A. and Grace E. Oliver, at home. Five grand children and one great grand child. Funeral services at the home, Thursday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock. Burial at the convenience of the family.
